Sue Mosteller, CSJ

Sue Mosteller, CSJ (Sisters of St. Joseph), has played a significant role in L'Arche Canada and internationally for more than 25 years. A member of L'Arche Daybreak, Sue was the second director of Daybreak following the founders. For almost a decade Sue served as the International Coordinator of L'Arche after Jean Vanier. She has since filled many roles in L'Arche, and is in high demand as a speaker, retreat leader and accompanier. In recognition of her wisdom and service to countless people in L'Arche and the wider society, Sue was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Jesuit graduate school Regis College, Toronto, in 1995.

When Henri Nouwen died suddenly in 1996, his will entrusted his literary estate to Sue as Literary Executrix. She founded the Henri Nouwen Literary Centre, located in Henri's former offices in L'Arche Daybreak. The website of the Henri Nouwen Literary Centre is found at: http://www.nouwen.net. Her most recent book is Body Broken, Body Blessed: Reflections from Life in Community.
